Meet the Marketing and Membership Team


Derek Sims, Senior Vice President Marketing and Recruiting - Accountable Healthcare Staffing

Derek is a senior executive with experience working with National Brands and Healthcare-focused staffing clients, and identifying and growing new and organic revenue opportunities. Derek specializes in leading integrated marketing and omnichannel marketing programs, developing brand strategies and execution, and connecting with target audiences, all with a keen focus on the analytics and results. Derek has proven experience within the Staffing Community, Retail and Healthcare organizations. Derek is currently the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Accountable Healthcare Staffing and have been with them for 8 years leading their Marketing and Recruitment Strategy.

Combined, Derek has 25 years of Recruitment experience in designing, developing, and managing high-performance, high-growth organizations. Consultative workforce strategies expertise with recognizable global success within both Managed Service Programs and Recruitment Process Outsourcing. A broad range of strategic and tactical knowledge in service delivery, process engineering/business process improvement, training and change management, dynamic team building, relationship management, organizational development, and strategic planning.


Geoff Staub, Vice President of Marketing - Supplemental Health Care

As Vice President of Marketing, Geoff contributes 20+ years of professional marketing and communications experience to SHC, touching on all aspects of SHC’s wide-ranging business needs. Under Geoff’s leadership, the SHC marketing and talent attraction teams work to build the SHC brand awareness and equity with the multiple audiences the company serves.

Previously, Geoff served as Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications for Cross Country Healthcare, one of the nation’s largest publicly traded staffing and workforce solutions companies. At Cross Country, Geoff holistically oversaw both messaging strategy and execution, including shelf-space marketing strategy, talent acquisition, corporate communications, corporate responsibility, client and digital marketing strategies. He also supported the company’s investor relations communications and new business acquisitions. While at Cross Country, Geoff and his team won 22 AADY Awards for outstanding achievement in marketing and advertising.

Geoff holds a B.A. in Communication Theory and Rhetoric from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a Master’s in Media Communications from Webster University.

Geoff joined SHC in 2020 and resides in Madison, WI.


Kenny Kadar, President - Coast Medical Service

Kenny Kadar is the President of Coast Medical Service, a family-owned, Joint Commission certified healthcare staffing agency established in 1979. Under Kenny’s guidance, Coast has grown over 125x since 2011 and is the recipient of several awards, including:

  • Top 10 Travel Companies on Blue Pipes
  • Top Ranked Staffing Agency by Great Recruiters
  • Inc. 5000 List (3x)
  • Los Angeles Business Journal fastest growing in LA (3x)

Kenny lives in Hermosa Beach with his wife, 3 kids and 2 dogs.



Lauren Bartlett, Chief Marketing Officer - Ingenovis Health

Lauren Pasquale Bartlett joined Fastaff and U.S. Nursing in 2015 and is responsible for acquisition and engagement strategies, digital customer experience, and brand. Bartlett implemented a marketing technology reliance on business intelligence and automation, and launched a brand recast asserting the company’s unique market position as a Category of One. Her teams have doubled the size of the database and contributed to industry-exceeding revenue growth in 2019. She’s led both client and nurse marketing during times of growth and decline, affording her a thorough perspective of the motivation of both hospitals and nurses.



Scott Knox, Vice President of Marketing - Travel Nurse Across America (TNAA)

As VP of Marketing, Scott Knox directs the company’s marketing and lead generation initiatives. He leads a team of marketing specialists who are responsible for TNAA’s email marketing, social media, and internal and external content creation. Scott has been with TNAA since 2016 and brings more than 10 years of experience in strategic marketing solutions that drive leads and long-term results.
